Happy Friday!

Hello.It's Me.

Image
It's really raining hard! It's a rainy Friday! While on my way to the office, I was really wet even if my umbrella and jacket helped me a lot. I just sighed " Papasok pa lang ako, yung itsura ko mukhang pauwi na ". Since I only have few classes today, I suddenly looked for my photos and tried to make fun of it. Here.. (as I'm typing, I really feel the comfort of our bed...SLEEPY) Take care everyone! LOL xoxo

my 2009 hairstyle.

Image
It was 2009 when I had my short hair, a day after my graduation party. I called it a "trial and error" hairstyle. I just feel like cutting my hair very short.  But since my hair is wavy, I need the help from salon chemicals for my hair. taddah! My friend Maxine, edited my photo. :) Guess which one is the original :))

I'd recommend....... a funny game with my student

Image
I'd like you to meet my student, Min Seok (Tom) He's a high school student. He's smart enough to understand English lessons and also some English jokes. He's also sarcastic, smart alec, witty in the class. I like it because it makes our discussion funny. Smart alec but witty. Tolerable :) But one thing I like from him is that, he never fails to ask me "How about you teacher, how are you?" xoxo

Cooking 101

Image
When I was kid, I never liked kitchen. I never liked cooking, but I like eating! Growing up away from the kitchen, since we have elders to cook for our food, I never thought it will be a rough road for me learning kitchen activities.  I know how to cook rice, cook some fried foods. As much as I want to cook some of my favorite Filipino food, oh no, I think that would means a LOT!! Ha-ha I remember my sister and I was watching Sineskwela, (that was a decade ago or so), we tried to cook a burger patty out of banana blossom (“puso ng saging”). It was fun! Since then, my sister became our kitchen’s best friend. Now that I am old enough to be friends with our kitchen, I’m still having some fear to cook the food that I like. Well, this isn’t about cooking lesson though. Since I am expose to Korean culture, language and the likes, one of my hobby these past few months was to cook some “kimbap” and to eat “kimchi” and other Korean foods! I’ve tried to make kimbap. With the help of...

Hello Everyone!

Image
I don't have any in particular topic in mind as my entry in my humble blog. :) I just had a good sleep last night! Every Sunday night, I could prepare myself for another week's battle in the office, so I'm grabbing the chance to get a good rest! (including nice dreams in which I would just forget upon waking up!) I remember my first avp "Identity", I think we really should know what our identity is - in our workplace, home, anywhere else! I thank God for giving me and identity, to be part as His child :) lol

my MAY calendar

Image
bye April! Hello MAY!! Just to share two Korean holiday for this month, they will celebrate Children's Day and Buddha's Birthday. Here in the Philippines, I don't know if we have Children's Day, as far as I know, we don't. We also don't celebrate Buddha's birthday. Philippines is known as a Catholic / Chrisian country so we only celebrate the very significant event in the world - that is the birth of JESUS CHRIST. my class calendar for this month *though not accurate for the whole month Children's Day May 5th represents a day of celebration for children, both young and old. Amusements parks, zoos, and national parks become crowded with families enjoying the holiday in the Spring weather.   Buddha's Birthday   In Korea the birthday of Buddha is celebrated according to the Lunisolar calendar. This day is called 석가탄신일 (Seokga tansinil), meaning “the day of Buddha’s birthday” or 부처님 오신 날 (Bucheonim osin nal) meaning “the day when Bu...

Hey Hey Hey!

Image
Everyday, before we (I) begin with my lesson proper or just a free talking class with my students, I have a prepared greetings slide for them.  Well, I can actually greet my students and the Korean teacher verbally "Hello everyone! Happy _____." but instead, I'm preparing slides for them so it could also catch their attention, (not all students want to see themselves in the camera, haha).   It could be of any kind, theme (wholesome ofcourse), subject.  Korean students especially the Kindergarten, Elementary level are somewhat sensitive seeing visuals that are kinda fleshy or sensual.  I used cartoon characters before. I also even use K-POP artists, foods, the 7 Wonders of the World! But this week's greetings are just some cute stuff I saw in the internet! Happy Friday for tomorrow~

I'm appreciated

I'm not actually fine today. I just kept myself busy. I'm part of a team doing materials for TOEIC Speaking - to be used by Korean students. Thank God I was able to finish my part today. A big thanks for my co-teachers in sharing their opinions about some questions I handed them. Our team leader, Korean boss too, Ms.Kayla, sent me a message. It put a smile on my face realizing I am appreciated too by the things or probably the words I'm sharing with her (to lighten up our stressful and demanding task). :)
