GOD: THE LOVING FATHER....

God is our loving Father , and the world we live in is our Father's world.  He is in control , but He doesn't necessarily arrange things to keep us comfortable or to make life easier.  Sometimes He permits just the opposite to occur, and we find ourselves nervous and upset and looking for somebody to blame instead of somebody to love.  We start groaning instead of growing, and another opportunity is lost for glorifying the Father. -Warren W. Image
Been away in blogging... Well, what's with your 2012? Basically, I've been away on some things that I usually do, that I really love doing! and one of those is READING BOOKS! Well, 3 things I want have for this month: Book shelf, Study Table and a Scanner~ (oh please, can someone who has a good heart grant my "need" -kidding). I need to shell out some money for it since I'll be the one to use them. And speaking of reading books, recently, I started reading the book of Grace Gaston-Dousel's True Love Weds.  A short background.  I'm excited with BOOK SALES. I really don't care standing or spending time browsing the shelf to look for books which of course, I would like to read and learn from. I bought True Love Weds 2 years ago, but has no plan of reading it right away since it's about 'wedding' or 'marriage'.  But to my surprise, I am actually reading it already and page after page, I'm learning and  feeling blessed about the a...

Here are some comments I've read in the internet... True to the Book The book was likewise meandering and largely listless, lacking in any urgency, pace, or direction and with very little in the way of personality or insight. So, in other words, the perfect Hollywood corporate-designed film straight from the...

The Five-Gallon Container

Image
When we apologize, we accept responsibility for our behavior, seeking to make amends with the person who was offended.   Genuine apology opens the door to the possibility of forgiveness and reconciliation.   Then we can continue to build the relationship.   Without apology, the offense sits as a barrier, and the quality of the relationship is diminished.   Good relationships are always marked by a willingness to apologize, forgive, and reconcile.   The reason many relationships are cold and distant is because we have failed to apologize. Sincere apologies also assuage a guilty conscience.   Picture your conscience as a five-gallon container strapped to your back.   Whenever you wrong another, it’s like pouring a gallon of liquid into your conscience.   Three or four wrongs and your conscience is getting full – and you are getting heavy.   A full conscience leaves one with a sense of guilt and shame.   The only way to effectively empty ...

BOOK SALE

I was not able to buy a book during the CSM sale at SMX.   I also got ticket for some freebies.   I remember when my co teacher and I went to SMX last year to buy books.   I got 8 books for 99 each!!   I also bought one for my co teacher so she could use the same book as mine for our discipleship because she was still using the Filipino translated version. Well, yesterday, as part of the 44tth celebration of our church, Church Strenghtening Ministry (CSM) publishing also celebrated with us.   Just outside the church, they set up a long table for the books that they are selling. (How sad I wasn’t able to take pictures of that).   Anyway, my eyes got bigger for the new books that they were selling.   I already got some book so I bought new books which I do not have yet.  I got 3 books for 99 each!   Then I asked a close person of mine to buy me another book which I also like but chose not to grab it.   Then he boug...
