Receiving God's Love

Receiving is important in our relationship with God. When we receive from God, we actually take into ourselves what He is offering. As we receive His love, we then have love in us. Once we are filled with God’s love, we can begin loving ourselves. We begin giving that love back to God and loving other people. The Bible teaches us that the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit. That simply means that when the Lord comes to dwell in our hearts because of our faith in His Son Jesus Christ, He brings love with Him, because God is love (see 1 John 4:8). We all need to ask ourselves what we are doing with the love of God that has been freely given to us. Are we rejecting it because we don’t think we are valuable enough to be loved? Or are we receiving His love with a thankful heart, believing that He is greater than our failures and weaknesses? Prayer of Thanks:   I am grateful, Father, that You love me and that Your love is perfect and unconditional...

why doubt if you have faith?

Image
credits Matthew 14:31  Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him.  “You of little faith,”  he said, “why did you doubt?” I have an issue of being a worrier. I worry a lot. I think a lot.  think+worry=me and I know that's not what God wants me to be.   So why worry if I have a big GOD? I have prepared myself yesterday to get my grades in school. Standing in a verrrrrrrrry looooong line, patiently I waited before I could head on to the person in-charge with all the manual processing of releasing the grades. Suddenly, I felt something that I don't want to feel in that situation - butterflies in my heart! So I stopped and prayed, "Lord, please let me see a passing grade." And there my grades are! PRAISE THE LORD! I passed all the subjects! What a relief! THANK YOU LORD! Next step:  Check the Schedule for Summer Classes. I went to the enrollment area and saw thicker lines of students.  Schedules for the subjects were projected. ...

The Inconsistent Blogger

credits I am missing out a lot of things in mind to share in my blog. I am almost missing out to visit my blog even if it's my default page in my computer. Oh, I say, I've been tooooooooooooo busy :( February: It was a month of challenge for me.  It's the month when I can totally feel the life of a student and a teacher. It was a bit hard.  Doing exam papers today for my students' exam next week, then review for tomorrow's exam or prepare for the report, etc.  It was totally exhausting.  BUT, I thank my God because He never fails to give me strength and push me to keep going and indeed, God enabled me! March: It was still a month of challenge for me. FINALS FINALS FINALS. Aside from studying and preparing things for final paper works, March was also a time for dancing, rehearsals, preparations for the graduation/sem-ender. It was also a time of success and victory for the Lord. March 24 marked the 17th Recognition/Graduation Exercises of the school I...

Good Night Sleep

Matthew 11:28 "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." "Lord, protect me as I go home tonight. Thank you for the classes I had for the past 4 days.  Give me a good night sleep as I close my eyes.  Refresh my mind, my spirit and my heart.  I am happyemk and I have a cheerful heart, but today, I feel terribly tired and exhausted. May you give me STRENGTH everyday, may you SUSTAIN me in everything that I do" Love, EMK

"Friends are friends forever, if the Lord is the Lord of them And a friend will not say never, cause the welcome will not end Though it's hard to let you go In the Father's hands I know That a lifetime's not too long... to live as friends." -Michael W Smith       June 30, 2011 21:23 2nd Center, COMPANY NAME Dear Team to Beyt: I have already given my resignation letter to TC and HT. My decision is final and I will be leaving at the end of this month. Please consider this to be my sincere goodbye to each and every one of you. I want you to know that I am truly leaving here with mixed feelings; happy and excited about my new game plan but sad to be leaving such a great company (not including the ‘’) , and company means especially TEAM 8. The one+ year as a member of TEAM 8 is the best period of my working career so far. I learned a great deal and worked with many people with whom I am sure I will remain friends for a long time. I can only wish that my new...

The angels were singing…

It’s Holy Week. How do you spend your time this week? Some people go on outings, travel. Others were doing some retreat or some religious stuff. And also, there are still some people who do sacrifices through the cross and re-enact what Christ did as He walks onthe road of the Calvary. Since I am employed in a Korean company, we have no Philippine holiday, Korean holiday instead. Whew. Honestly, I don’t feel ok and alive early in the morning. I was feeling like “Not again, back to work.” I prayed to God to help me remove of this ‘not-so-good’ feeling. As I sat down in my station, turned on my computer, checked my schedule, surfed the net and viola! Got classes again! What a routinary work. *sigh The class goes on and I was feeling terrible, I don’t know why. It was like, “it’s not my day”. 8 classes for today, I should be happy with my schedule for today! Some students were headaches to me. Even if the Korean teacher was around, it was still a headache. Some students were funn...

The Mission

Today is the 5th Day of my VBS experience. Interacting with children was a challenge for me. I was able to tell Bible stories with them about Adam and Eve, Noah and about the GREAT COMMISSION. It wasn't an easy task to share stories in the Bible, but by God's help, I was able to do it.  I cannot make up stories on my own just to get the attention of these little children.  I cannot exaggerate the stories just to make "pa bida" with my students.  It was not all about me, it was about JESUS. I never grew up in a Sunday School.  I was never thought to go to church every Sunday. To tell you, my family only go to church togther during special occassion. I knew Jesus even before, but I never had a PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP with Him. When Jesus was introduced to me in 2008, I realized I was totally blinded with what Satan can only offer - lies, lies , and  LIES. It's like the children song I used to sing with my st...

Our Purpose (reblog)

Are all travelers who ought to go a long journey before us? Though each one of us started this journey at a different time some are walking lightly, Some are walking even one step very heavily nobody knows when this journey ends, but everyone knows that there is an end. Because the way we are walking on is lonely and tough, we are all seeking for a partner to walk together. We think if there's somebody to love me and to be with me, this journey won't be a problem that only with enough expenditure, This long journey won't be so tough that provided many people acknowledge meme might even enjoy this journey but we are missing that it is impossible for anyone to walk together with us till the end Nobody can lead us from the end of this journey into a new one. Except him only...there are several people who are carrying a ladder to cross into a new road sometimes they feel pressured by the ladder but knowing the value of it, they walk with gladness Many are walking withou...

Aja!!

Image
Fighting! in Korea, it's like aja!! You can do it! Fighting!! These past few days, it's like the atmosphere isn't in good mood ON ME. It's the flaws that I can see and with that, I focused on it and got disappointed. It was so embarrassing because it's only a blot in a clean sheet of paper. The blot caused my problems, expectations, and some things that I don't expect to happen. It was so EMBARRASSING to see that one tiny blot in my life that I overlooked that "Hey! I have a BIG GOD !!" I still have BIGGER space to fill in with joy and passion into what I'm doing. I was so embarrassed to my LORD that in this time of chaos, I neglected His power. I easily got fainted and dismayed. But you know, the goodness of the Lord is very REAL and VISIBLE. At the point of being blind because of that blot, the Lord used OTHER people to remind me that "Hey! Why are you so worried?! Where is your faith in the Lord at this point of time?" That...

February 2011 is our Third Month

Image
How can I forget 12th day of the month? It's the day that Coco asked me "Can you be my girlfriend?" He even asked me what's the difference of  "Yes, I will" and "Yes, I do." Well, I just answered the YES, I WILL. Still praying for the YES, I DO ♥♥♥ February 12, 2011 It's our third month together. (funny, it seems like years!) We love eating so we just had our dinner at The Real Thing Diner. Oh, the crew remembered me already! haha! (we went there with some Korean buddies and with my co teachers too) She remembered me and my bangs! :) Oh, how can I forget that day! (I'm starting to have a forgetful mind) Again, I didn't take a photo of the food that we ordered.      THE REAL THING DINER il terrazo, tomas morato

Today is our 2nd month together as boyfriend/girlfriend but it seems like it has been 2 years! Sometimes, I kind of feel awkward to say "Happy monthsary" to him cus I it has been 4 years or more since I had my last relationship. What have I learned in 2 months? That will also be my question for him. (Hey, Happycoco, if you're reading this, need to look back and think what have you learned :) Honestly, I don't know. From the time that we met and we learn to know each other, I feel comfortable day after day. I get to know him more, his imperfections makes him adorable. Why? It motivates me to challenge him more. It also helped me to become a straight forward kind of person for him. We've been dating for 2 years. We've been tagged as "bf/gf" for 2 months. I learned to appreciate him more. I also learned to look at myself and ask if I am ready to be a "woman" again. This time, I am praying that he would be the "man" for me. I als...

Today, it was a hectic Friday for me. We all thought we would have classes with our highschool students, which schedules are only for Monday til Thursday. But, because they need to attend make up classes, they were scheduled to attend this day! But suddenly, we received a good news! NO HAESA CLASSES TODAY!! :P We were all screaming and yelling for joy! We were like students who heard a news that CLASSES ARE SUSPENDED!! Today, I finished all my evaluations so that I have nothing to leave behind when I come back on Monday. Thank God! I'm done with all my task for this week! Today, we had a celebration (whole evening teachers). They asked me to lead in a prayer. It was such a priviledge for me to pray! I felt an overwhelming feeling a while ago. CHRISTIANITY IS A LIFE STYLE, THEREFORE PRAYING IS A LIFESTYLE TOO! Today, we also had gift giving! OH!! aside from a Mickey Mouse pillow, I also got this one!!! Thanks to my hardworking team captain MARIAN and head teacher WACKY. ...

The Effective Praise and Worship Leader

I just want to share some insights on being an Effective Praise and Worship Leader. I am part of the Worship Ministry in our church (UBC-University Baptist Church in Manila).  I apologize if I couldn't inject the reference of this article (my bad, very poor memory). C'mon! try to read on :) God bless you! Dr. Ron Kenoly is a confident, fun man. In less than 5 minutes he had the entire room uncomfortable. He directly asked people questions, and when they answered incorrectly, he would simply say, “No. Who has the right answer?” When frustrated by the third incorrect definition of the word “praise,” he said, “Come on people, you are supposed to be worship leaders. You should know this stuff.” He was very firm, and very intimidating. I enjoyed watching him make people squirm. And while his talk was right out of his book (that I have not read), I found it very insightful, and from my limited experience, spot on. Breakout Session: The Effective Praise and Worship Leader with Dr. R...
